[WED]Ropers of Crickham, Clewer

Hi All
Firstly a big thankyou to Michael for running the list and providing a
fantastic website.

I have just subscribed and having looked at the archives I see a few
familiar names but would just llike to post some things that I am
looking for again.

I am interested in any Ropers in Wedmore particularly in the Clewer,
Crickham area. Particularly looking for the Baptism of Thomas Roper
around 1801. I am fairly certain his father was Hugh Roper of Clewer as
George son of Hugh is listed as uncle to one of Thomas' children in the
1861 census.
Also  looking for Hughs marriage to Elizabeth around 1797 and probable
second marriage to Jane(Davis) around 1808.

Any clues would be appreciated.
