Excellent - I happen to be writing about economics of land in Papua New =
Guinea and seeking to dispel the myth that enclosures led to =
depopulation of rural England in order to create cheap labour for the =
cities. Wedmore's population growth in the 50 years after the enclosures =
and indeed on your figures to 1880 shows this not to be so, although =
large families and primogeniture did lead younger sons to Dyersville, =
Farley, and Australia, inter alia!

Census, and of these 2,109, or 69% were born there.=20
