John
Simon Tincknell and Charlotte Duckett's marriage is recorded in the =
transcriptions of Meare marriages on Colin Raynor's page at
http://genealogy.colinrayner.org.uk/
There's lots of good bits there for anyone whose ancestors wandered.
Also re Thomas Tincknell on the IGI - it lists only a year of birth not =
a date like I have so I have got the info from another source. The IGI =
is good if you are aware of the source it is using and as you say only a =
good guide. For anything important I check the original source.
regards
Lyn

Charlotte was born in Wotton in 1813 (from 1851 census); the banns =
were read in Wedmore on 13 SEpt 1835, so I assume they were married in =
Wotton.
Banns were read in Wedmore 30 Aug, 6 & 13 Sept. 1835 and Charlotte =
was from Meare, (132/277). So both Meare and Wooton registers should be =
looked at first.

Hi Tim
Although Lyn says from memory Thomas was bap. about 1843 I can see =
absolutely no sign, although there are other children to Simon and =
Charlotte.
Are you able to go to the LDS and look for Simon Tincknell and =
Charlotte Duckett's marriage, probably at Meare 19 Sept. 1835
