Hello Listers,=20
I am not usually a cranky individual (particularly at this time of year) =
but I am sure that while most of us who do not share your research names =
enjoy reading some of the toing and froing of late, much of the info. =
could be more reasonably shared privately between individuals. This =
would save us all having to wade through chatter, much of which is only =
of interest to a limited few.
Also why is the thread continually just being added to backwards and =
forwards, instead of someone cutting some of the junk out of the huge =
d/l we are all receiving at present? It is does not take very long to =
clean out the extra burble which would be greatly appreciated by some of =
us who are on phone dialups and timed downloads.
Please no one take this personally, as I am delighted that so many of =
you have found a common bond - however in your enthusiasm for more info. =
please consider the rest of us, and just leave the threads of research =
that could be of use to other List researchers on the List!
This is not sour grapes, as I have been a serious researcher for many =
years and willingly assisted folk that I will never meet around the =
globe over that time - as indeed I have been helped by others. I am =
also an active helper where I can on several other Rootsweb Lists and =
have never had reason to write this type of note to any of them.
Yes, some may say there is the delete button, but as I have stated =
earlier some of the info. is worthwhile to read, and note for perhaps =
later family connections in one's own research - and we can always learn =
from other researchers - but this past week the banter to and fro has =
just become too much, particularly with all that regurgitated junk =
throughout!
Personally, I am researching the AMESBURY family in Wedmore and =
surrounding areas as well as Bristol - so if anyone else is doing =
likewise I would be happy to exchange info. with you and make your =
acquaintance.
Wishing everyone with Wedmore roots a happy, healthy and peaceful =
2002....Noelene
