Greetings from a new subscriber in Calgary, Canada. My interest in =
Wedmore stems from my great-grandfather, a Henry Cox whom I suppose was =
born in Wedmore. The stories I heard of him from my grandmother =
indicated that he had been a choir boy in the church, and that the =
family farm was right beside it (the church, that is). Judging by his =
age at death, he must have been born in 1853 or 1854. It seems there =
was a nasty bit concerning the inheritance of the farm following his =
father's death, and that Henry moved to Bath and then Bristol. At least =
one brother went to Australia. I do not know Henry's siblings names, =
although reportedly he was the youngest of seven. Nor do I know his =
parents. I'll be in England in a couple of weeks, and I will check the =
civil registration, but if this rings any bells or prompts any =
suggestions, I'd be glad to hear.
