John, only my Parker family came in from Toronto, Canada from Wedmore
and Mary has done some research on them for me so is familiar with that
family.  My other ancestors from Wedmore--all members of one family:
widow of Hugh Roper, Jane Davis Roper age 55 came across from Bristol on
the Devonia arriving in NYC June 1849 along with youngest daughter Jane
& her husband, Samuel Evans.  Looks like another daughter (Betsey &
George Tincknell)  was already in Burlington, Racine Co, Wisconsin.  Son
John Roper and daughter Ann Curry & their families also lived in
Burlington but I do not know when they arrived.  By 1860 the Evans and
Tincknells are in Delaware Co, IA near Dyersville as are the Parkers (in
Dubuque Co.).  The Iowa 1885 census shows some Millards living in
Delaware Co, one Charles Millard married Lucy Curry.  They lived near
the Evans.
Not sure if that is any help with your Millards.
