In case you have not seen it, I attach an extract from my notes of the =
depositions in the tithe case of Davis v Tutton in 1677:
William Latham of Wedmore, yeoman, aged 60
{Wm Latcham bapt. at Wedmore 8 May 1614}
a.. does not remember how he paid tithe calves to Mr Lawes, but paid =
to Mr Downton by driving; when he had 5 calves in one year he paid =
nothing until he had 10 calves in a following year
b.. about this time his sister in law Elinor Lawe was living in his =
house; she kept 2, 3 or 4 cows in various years and paid tithe calves by =
driving=20

I am researching my Latcham ancestors from the Wedmore area. If =
