Whoopee

Hello cousin Mary

I, and my cousin Tim Curtin in Canberra, Australia are 3rd great nephews =
and 2nd cousins, 6 times removed of Hester Tyley, baptised 4th June 1792 =
and daughter of William and Susanna Tyley, late Gibbs.

Look at the family on rootsweb and search for Hester Tyley, born 1792 =
and you should find her on my site.

Then please come back to me and I can send you much more via GEDCOM and =
no doubt you will reciprocate.

Where abouts is Dyersville? There really should be a Wedmore descendants =
club in Iowa.

Best wishes

John V Hayward
in The Heritage Coast, Suffolk, England.

I am hoping that the letter I sent earlier from the Polders of =
Dyersville will appear on the mailing lists. If you had trouble =
downloading it, do let me know and I will send you a copy snail mail.

Meanwhile I hope that someone can help me to find the name of the =
mother of James M. Dyer, founder of Dyersville. His mother was named =
Mary, she was the first wife of James Dyer of Burrington and Yatton, =
they married before 11 June 1814 when their first son, John Dyer was =
baptised in Yatton. I have found no marriage record for this couple. =
Mary --- Dyer died in Yatton and was buried on 28 may 1823 at the age of =
28. James M. Dyer was born in 1820. They had five children, one of =
whom died young.

James Dyer was of Banwell when he married his second wife, Jane =
Harden, on 11 may 1824. They had three children. By the time she died =
before 28 february 1831 when she was buried in Yatton, she was of =
Wedmore and 38 years old.

James Dyer married on 28 december 1831 Hester Tyley of Wedmore, the =
daughter of William Tyley. She emigrated with him to Iowa and by the =
time she died in 1883, they had never been apart since they were =
married! James Sr. died in 1884 in Dubuque, having outlived his son =
James M. by 20 years.

Your mailroom is full of interesting information! Congratulations on =
the website!

  Best wishes, Mary M. Thacher
Great great granddaughter of James M. Dyer
