[WED]Osbornes

Hello all,

I am new to the list and have thoroughly enjoyed reading everyone's 
postings about Wedmore.

My chief interest is the family of my grandmother, Caroline Osborne, b. 
Wedmore 22 Mar. 1878.  The only information I have from England about her 
family is a copy of the listing in the 1881 Census, which indicates that at 
that time their address was Rose Cottage, Cheddar Road.  Her father, James 
Osborne, listed his birthplace as Woolverton, and I always assumed that 
meant the village in Somerset.  However, I recently obtained a copy of his 
death certificate from Kane County, Illinois, which states that he was born 
in Woolverton, Gloucestershire.  Can someone tell me if there really is a 
Woolverton in Gloucestershire?  It is possible that the person 
supplying  the information for the death certificate made an error.
