Hi everyone,

Thanks to all of you who responded to my query about the location of 
Woolverton.  I think it is now safe to assume that my great-grandfather was 
born in Somerset.

John, thank you for checking the Wedmore parish register.  I feel quite 
certain that 22 March 1878 is the correct date of Caroline Osborne's birth, 
but perhaps she was not christened in the Church of England.  Her family 
might have attended a Baptist or Methodist church if there was one in 
Wedmore at that time.
