Hi Katherine am having a clean out and in this old suitcase found many =
photos of the middle East 1976 Anzac tour but also some fascinating =
Wedmore data from when the late JCP.returned there.
1. A lengthy cutting from the Daily Telegraph reporting on the Wedmore =
Jubilee celebrations,
.Veteran bell-ringer Arthur Duckett 82 was up at 4.15 am to begin a day =
and night of strenuous celebrations.

2.A letter from The Cottage, Belling Hill Wedmore from A Duckett saying =
his grand parents had lived most of their lives in Mudgley and that he =
was not related to Ernest Duckett. Miss Ethel Pople of Cocklake is his =
cousin though. He could remember JPP before he went a broad.
He concluded in hoping he would climb the 45 steps to the Wedmore belfry =
for a few more years yet.

3.A copy of the February edition 1976 Shapwick, Ashcott, Burtle Parish =
news.

4.A letter from the Vicar The Reverend H. L. Baxter.Listing family names =
in the Shapwick Baptism and Burial register.

5. The history of the Wedmore church,
.
All goes to prove you should look before you throw.

John Porter Paekakariki NZ.
