Subject: [WED]ADAMS
I am new to this but hope that you can help me out. My grandfather =
Ernest Adams was born in Wedmore in 1899 and appears on the 1901 census. =
His father was Walter Adams and his father Charles Adams, and his =
father was William Adams who married a Hanna. I can trace what would =
appear to be the Adams line back to Mary Adams who was born either in =
1740 or later and would appear to have had children out of marriage with =
a Vowles and then subsequently married her 'uncle' Aaron Wall, although =
the timings don't seem to marry up. =20
THEY CERTAINLY DON'T! I PRESUME THAT THE MARY WHO HAD CHILDREN BY THAT =
MR VOWLES IS THE MARY ADAMS WHO DIED IN THEALE IN 1789 (WITH NO HUSBAND =
STATED), WHERE MANY OF THE ADAMS RESIDED.
I'm getting this information from other family trees published on the =
website. There appears to be two Mary Adams around this time. Is the =
Mary Adams who married Aaron Wall but who had three children by a A. =
Vowles the daughter of Richard Adams and Hannah Wall? If she is then it =
would appear her great great great grandfather was Richard Adams who =
married a Grace Blake, but there appears to be no records as to where =
Richard Adams who was born around 1560 came from. Does anyone have any =
ideas?
SORRY, NOT MUCH TO GO ON BEFORE 1560
=20
Any help or ideas would be gratefully received.
