Hi Stephen and all,

I wrote -

I think it might be me you are thinking of re Tincknells. I was on =
walkabout. :) I have Henry Tincknell (the son of Benjamin Tincknell and =
Ann Cord) and Mary Ann Cooper but no issue for them. I will have to =
check my files thoroughly as I know of a Stagg connection somewhere =
(perhaps from the same census as you). The Sarah Tincknell you mention =
was the daughter of Simon Tincknell and Sarah Pople and I have not =
traced a marriage for her yet, so you may be correct in your thoughts.=

If I find anything I will let you know.=

On further checking Henry Tincknell above had a sister Sarah born c 1847 who
as yet in my research is unmarried. That is the combination you were looking
for but wrong parents. Sarah, the daughter of Simon and Sarah, didn't have a
brother Henry but was born c 1848 so really either are candidates at this
stage.

Yet another Tincknell mystery. When I was in Wedmore they told me of the
saying they had in Wedmore that "if you knocked on a wall a Tincknell would
fall out". Maybe I should have tried it - I might of found a really old one
who could fill in a few blanks. :)
