Hi Lyn,
This appears to be the daughter of Matthew Duckett and Ann nee Wall, of
Heath House, Wedmore, born 1871. Although the family are almost neighbours
(very distant relatives) the details come from the Bertram Duckett family
tree. I do not have any parish records relating to Matthew and Ann's
marriage or the baptism of their seven children. Matthew died in 1934 aged
95. My grandfather bought one of his fields when his estate was sold after
his death. I was named after him, but only because my mother liked the name.
In answer to your question about Humphrey, my father said that my
grandfather said he was a very distant relative. I can't tie down Humphrey's
grandfather; John, farm labourer. I have two candidates.1) John circa
1786-1852 youngest brother of your Elisha, but he is not a known relative of
mine.2) John died 1847, he may be a relative but the link is anecdotal ( via
his son Noah) and his baptismal record is missing.
