More than 30 years - Mary Ellen Curtin (granddaughter of Maria Carver of
Wedmore born 1800) went out from Sand to Farley/Johns Creek in c1895 to join
her uncle Joseph Walter and within a year or so was marrying Robert Lee
Pitman, whose parents were part of the first exodus in the 1850s, his father
William born 1831 came from Edington, William's mother Flora was one of the
milling Wilkins family of Chapel Allerton. It seems William was a
confederate! Were the Wedmorians of Farley all of the same mind?
