Thanks John =20
I wonder how my William got to be there then. I know that he married a =
Mary Anne Lewis, d of Henry and Phoebe Lewis of Cheddar. But it appears =
that other than for Wms parents, who married at St Mary Redcliff in =
Bristol, and b in Banwell, Som.,they were based in Axbridge. The family =
owned the Bell Inn, I believe it is/was on West St.
A couple of years ago I made contact with descendents of Charles, Wms =
brother, he had left with another brother to live in America.Popham is =
another name married into the Templars, and Smith .
Anyway, Thanks..I still need to find out about Wm, maybe I need to come =
home to look around.
Bye
Phyllis

Dear John,=20
Thank you for your email. My William Templar was born c1822 in =
Axbridge, I have him on a family tree sent to me some years ago, titled =
"the Templars of Axbridge". He died at Wedmore in 1866, according to the =
Tree.
Have you come across him at all.?
I have had a terrible job trying to get hold of someone on the =
Wedmore lists, and wa ready to give up...then your email.
What do all the strange encoded things mean that come on emails..?
Anyway, I am grateful for your contact
Thanks
Phyllis Pearson
