Hi Nancy,
Jane Tincknell b 29 Aug 1849 in Burlington, WI d. 31 May 1903 in Leon, 
Decatur Co, IA.  She was the daughter of George and Betsey Roper 
Tincknell of Wedmore.  Jane was the oldest sister of my gr-grandmother 
Amelia Tincknell Parker.  Jane married James H. Evans 12 Dec 1866 in 
Dyersville.  He was a Civil War veteran.  They had eleven children, five 
were living at the time of Jane's death.  James & Jane Tincknell Evans 
are buried in the cemetery in Leon.
I don't have marriages for their children--don't know exactly when the 
Evans moved from the Dyersville area to Leon, do know there were other 
Evans living in Leon--so don't know if there was any relationship with 
your kin.  Seems as though they did socialize with others from Somerset 
after they moved to the states.
