William Talbot (born 1821) went to "the dairy region of central New York"
(I wonder what that means - could it be the NY Somerset colony that people
on the list have mentioned?) in 1849.  In 1851 he went to Dubuque County,
Iowa, and then on to St. Charles, Minnesota in 1854.  But he nipped back to
Iowa in 1857 to marry Martha E. Baker (born Burnham 17 August 1830).  They
had 5 children - I can sort them out, if this turns out to be of interest
to you.
