Fanny Leigh came to America several times, her final arrival was in 1914 when
she arrived with her children George and Jennie (that's how her name has been
passed down in family history).
Jennie married William Tripp and they had one son, John. Jennie died in 1929
and is buried in Skaneateles. As far as I can tell, he never remarried.
George married twice. His first wife was Ellen Maud Brown who died in 1931.
He remarried a woman by the name of Margaret. George died in 1974.
I have a Stephen Leigh coming to the US and living in Marcellus (a town near
Skaneateles).
Have you looked at Skaneateles.com? They have a wonderful collection of
information about Skaneateles ... newspaper announcements and cemetery listings.
WOuld it be possible to get a copy of Fanny's obituary? I would love to add
it to my collection.
best, Andrea
