[WED]Looking for ideas on a possible Wedmore-to-Iowa Descendants Association.

Sandi,

Mostly what I am going to do at this point is just collect ideas and think
about possibilities. My life is extremely hectic right now between my
children, my out-of-town husband, and work. I really don't have anything
concrete in mind and I am just open to ideas that I can just toss around in
my mind and see what gels so that when I do have time I might have some
concrete direction to go in. My parents still live in Dubuque so I get back
there about once a year, sometimes twice. What are your connections to the
Dubuque, Dyersville, Manchester area?

Thanks for dropping me a note - and PLEASE feel free to send suggestions,
etc. I have always been intrigued by the idea of a group like this, but
haven't really pursued it.

Karla

Hi Karla,
If you do decide to look into starting a Wedmore-to-IA group, let me know.
We are living in TX but may possibly be in Des Moines, IA early in June.
Our plans are not definite yet. If we are able to be there I could try to
look into things for you there. We were in Dubuque, Dyersville, Manchester,
etc last summer and the genealogy societies were very helpful, but we have
not been to Des Moines to do research. The historical society in Iowa City
has some info related to the Dyersville area but told us that Des Moines
would have much more. I note that you are moving in June so that is a busy
time for you but let me know. I am sending this to the list rather than to
you personally as I know there are several others who would have interest
also.
Sandi
