Hello Debra
I have a suggestion re your search for Evercreec information.
How far are you from a LDS (Mormon) Family History Centre? We are about a
45 minute drive and I couldn't function without my access to films of the
original registers <G>. The high from seeing for yourself what was written
generations ago cannot be surpassed. I realize not everyone has access to
the FHCs though and in those cases there is wonderful work done by
transcribers.
I checked the LDS Library catalogue and see that Janet Reakes'
transcriptions are available. Film numbers 1238889 and 1238890 as well as
a film number 994067 which is a PR transcript 1540-1924.
Unfortunately for Evercreech the original parish registers themselves do
not appear to have been filmed.
How long does it take for the film ordered to become available to those of
you in NZ? It takes 2-3 weeks for me to get one in my part of Canada. And
then I have it for 1 month.
I'm not a member of the LDS Church, just appreciate being able to use their
films.
Best wishes with your research
Marjorie Keates
