Hi Katherine

Yes, I have Henry Porter marrying Hannah Pople in 1879. However they =
seem to be part of my extended Wedmore contacts since I also have many =
Duckett. The Pople family married into Walls and that's where I come in.

If you would like to send me via GEDCOM, Henry and Hannah's descendants =
I would be pleased to add them in. I would reciprocate with anything you =
would like.

I know I have many, many more Wedmore names to put into mine when I =
finish the transcriptions.

You can look at my tree on rootsweb as below, search for Hannah Pople, =
born 1847.

Regards

Yes, we have. My grandfather was John Pople Porter, a farmer, married =
a Mary Victoria Curtis in 1903 & whose father was a school master at =
Shipham. John Pople Porters father was Henry Porter and his mother =
Hannah Pople. John Porter had one sister Agnes, who married Ernest =
Duckett.
  We may be distantly related!!
  Katherine.

    Hi Katherine

I think we may have been in contact in the past.

Who was your grand father who left Wedmore to go out to New Zealand =
please?

    Best wishes

      Hi,
My grandfather came to New Zealand from Wedmore in 1910 to escape =
the dreadful weather, the poor prices of milk and for a future. There are =
other stories but my mother , when she was alive, said she know nothing =
of them, so it was the weather etc that sent them abroad. The New =
Zealand government was advertising at the time for British subjects to =
come to the colony as population was required. (Turn of the century). =
Grandpa came here with his brother in law and Nana came out 2 years =
later with the 4 children. My mother was about 4 at the time.

        Hello List
Rev John Klemplorne Married William Lovell and Jane Mellish =
March 31, 1864, I am trying to find Parents for Jane Nad William but in =
reading your list I was very interested in Rev John Klemplorne and also =
why Wedmore was having such hard times? In a story pseed down the =
generations it has been told that William and his brothers had to leave =
England (Wedmore) because of horse stealing?? I have not been able to =
varify the story but It does have my interest. If someone knows of the =
story, I sure would like to find it
