It is possible to go back further in several directions:

Joanna Lansdowne was bap. 27 Nov 1642, born in Blackford, d. of Richard and
Alice; Richard was bapt. in Wedmore 25 August 1612, son John Lansdowne and
Jane Ticknell, who were married Wedmore on 19 June 1603.... and so on!

Agnes Coomb, wife of Edmund Banwell, was bapt 4 Nov 1626, d. of Robert Coomb
and Catherine Martin (married 22 Jan 1623/4); Catherine was bapt. 2 Sept
1599 and daughter of  Robert Martin (bapt. 5 Dec 1574, son of Richard
Martin) and Alice Pitt, they were married on 22.1.1599; Alice was bapt. 7
June 1573, daughter of Peter and Agnes Pitt.
