Two further important items missed.
John Spearing was born in 1802. Wookey Parish Records give;
John Spearing son of William & Sarah, born 11/7/1799. Baptised 25/8/1799.
John Spearing son of  Simon & Mary, born 20/1/ 1802. Baptised 23/1/1803.
The second record appears to be the better fit.
John & Anna Spearing died in Heath House, Wedmore in 1876 & 1875
respectively. They are buried in Wedmore Churchyard, the stone is still
standing. It appears that having worked the Watchfield Mill ( Burnham on Sea
/ Highbridge) for many years, John retired to work the Heath House or
Westfield Mill on a "locum" basis where he worked after leaving Blackford.
