I've just come back from a visit to Wedmore. It may be of general =
interest that I could find no sign of any graves in my family line. =
Thanks to the Burials section on the Tutton website I knew that I could =
expect little from the churchyard - but why, I wonder? What happened to =
ordinary people when they died in Wedmore? However, I had high hopes of =
the cemetery just outside Wedmore. My husband and I looked at every =
gravestone there, but there was nothing before about 1940 and no =
gravestones propped around the edge, as might be expected if the graves =
had been re-used. I know of at least three Fishers who should have been =
buried there - or somewhere? - between 1880 and 1910.

Does anyone have any comments, explanations, suggestions, etc.

I was also sad not to be able to locate the site of the blacksmith's =
forge in The Borough (1841) or the grocers opposite the bakers in Combe =
Batch (1901). If anyone could help me pinpoint these, I would be most =
grateful.
