These sites may be useful for anyone with missing Wedmorian family members

http://proarchives.imagineering.com.au/ - the Victorian PRO. There are 2
links, one for assisted and one for unassisted immigrants. Unassisted paid
their own way, assisted were subsidised by Government schemes.

http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/ search the online indexes link for links to
passengers list.

http://www.jaunay.com/ Search Graham's online databases under shipping to
see if anyone has the actual passenger list which may have more info - some
of them even have parents names, addresses and whether the parents are dead
or alive.

The book I referred to in my email to Tim was -

The Somerset Years by Florence Chuk 336pp, B/W Illust., Indexed, Assisted
immigrants from Somerset and Bristol 1839-1854. Comprehensive Index of
passengers and vessels. Detailed descriptions of Emigration schemes.

I have found a relatively cheap copy for sale and have ordered it so when it
arrives I let everyone know what is of interest. It is a little early for my
lot so I have resisted it buying it so far but it is a great resource for
Victorian arrivals.
