Matthew
Many thanks for sending your information many weeks ago. My apologies =
for taking so long to get back to you. =20

I spoke with my cousin "Mollie GREEN Wildey in Devizes recently and she =
told me that a Matthew Duckett phoned her re. DUCKETT family =
information. I wasn't sure if it was you who phoned her, but thought I =
should follow-up with you.

My wife and I (Arthur GREEN) visited Mollie GREEN in April '04. We all =
travelled to Allerton to obtain more information about our family. =
During our Allerton visit we met Peter and Elizabeth DUCKETT and they =
invited us to tea at their home. It was delightful. Both Peter and =
Mollie have sent us the new Blackford book, which we are enjoying =
immensely. =20

We have been searching the GREEN and DUCKETT family for several years =
and would love to obtain information regarding my great-grandparents, =
George and Elizabeth DUCKETT who apparently had a farm in Stone =
Allerton, however, we have not been able to find any information about =
their farm. You mentioned that we might be related. The following info =
applies to our family. I hope there is a connection.

Weare, 1851:
Edwin Duckett Carpenter
Sarah Duckett Carpenter's wife
Mary Ann Duckett Daughter
William Duckett Son
Elizabeth Duckett Daughter

Weare, 1861:
William Green Farmer of 24 acres
Mary Green Farmer's wife
George Green Son
John Green Son
Harry Green Son

Weare, 1881:
George Green Farmer
Elizabeth Green Wife
Frank Green Son
Mary Green Daughter-----------------"This is my father's =
mother"

Thanks for replying Nancy. I can't say that I have done a great deal =
on the Green family. My maternal great grandmother was Eleanor Green of =
Pilham Farm, Theale. Her father was Thomas. She was married to Robert =
Duckett. Her cousins George and John Green were married to Robert's =
sisters Delilah and Elizabeth. I have seen some interesting material =
done by Wallace Green a few years ago and I am hoping you will tell me =
you are connected. Oscar Johnson wrote a book called "The Comer =
Cousins", it also has some material on the Green family. Look forward to =
hearing from you Matthew.
