Hello Tom,
I was named after old Matthew Duckett but only because my mother liked =
the name. He died in 1934 aged 95. Herbert Duckett was my grandfather, I =
reckon that he and Matthew were third cousins. If you are interested in =
Annie's brothers and sisters let me know and I will supply, I did not =
have Annie's husband. Elisa nee Wall was from a Baptist family and as =
far as I know there are no recorded baptisms of their children other =
than Arthur who was baptised (C of E) in his mid twenties. One of =
Matthew's grand-daughters tells me there were 13 children but four or =
five died as infants, I have found 11 so far, mostly indirectly from a =
family bible. Michael (1808) was Matthew's father. I have a Richard =
Tidball farming in Westham, Wedmore in the very late 1800s, one of his =
daughters married an Oram, they were still at Westham untill the 1960s. =
Their's was the second farm in the hamlet to disappear. There is a photo =
in the new book on Blackford.
Matthew.

  Hi Matthew,
I have discovered a Matthew Duckett in my tree, born 1840, farmer of =
84 acres in 1881 and married to an Elisa, born 1845, surname unknown. =
Living in Heathhouse 1851-1891. This Matthew has a daughter Annie, born =
29 Oct 1865 who married Philip Tidball of Huntspill. Beleive this =
Matthew was the son of Michael, born 1808. Any connection?
Additionally, I have a reference to Herbert Duckett, born 25 Oct 1873, =
who I cannot place into the family at this time. Any ideas?
  Thanks,
  Tom Peck.
