thanks for the information, however it leaves me with a big question ~
who was Sarah Jane? From information I got in the last couple of days,
it appears that there were two marriages in the Wedmore area
(registration district Axbridge) in 1893:-

1. your Sarah Jane to Arthur Edward Clarke in Dec 1893
    (GRO Axbridge vol 5c page 949)

2. my Sarah Jane Millard to William Hole in Mar 1893=20
    (GRO Axbridge vol 5c page 729)

I had based my information on notes and documents from my niece's
grandmother, but there was some question as to Sarah Jane's parents. The
notes indicated that her father was George and your Sarah Jane was the
obvious candidate based on the information I had at the time, but this
is now obviously questionable. I have ordered a copy of the marriage
certificate for Sarah and William but I'm not sure this will clarify the
situation.

The alternatives I have come across are:

Sarah, born 1871, parents George and Ann of (dwelling recorded as
Allermoor in both 1881 and 1891 census records)

Sarah "?", born 1867, parents George and Sarah. The "?" appears as a P
in the 1881 census and J in the 1891 census.

If you have any information on the my Sarah Jane that would help me
clarify her line, I'd be most interested=20
