Charles Fear's Book of Records 1847-1882 is a diary found in an old dresser
by an other branch of the Duckett family. The transcription was done by
Oscar Johnson circa 1989. Aspects of the diary will be covered by the
forthcoming book on Blackford. I have a copy of the transcripton of the
diary, but have not seen the original.
Oscar Johnson was an American, he published (informally) an extensive
history of the Comer family. Unfortunately he died not long after and I
understand that his family did not follow his interest. As far as I know
there are no more copies of his book available.
The Blackford book has just gone to the printers and is to be launched at
the end of November. I am handling orders by post myself . A hope to give
full delails in the next few days.
Matthew Duckett.
