I have another Will for Franciscus Tincknell who died in 1666. Amongst lots
of others he mentions a nephew, John William Counsell son of his
brother-in-law John Counsell (his sister Maria married Joannes Counsell
1664). I have never before seen anyone in that time frame with 2 Christian
names. I am thinking he must be Guilielmus Counsell baptised 1665 in St
Mary's.
Has anyone come across John William before?
Franciscus says his father-in-law is Edward Ston. His wife doesn't get a
mention by name or status but his mother does. I am thinking his mother is
the Mariam Tincknell that married Edward Stone in 1649 and it is in the
context of step father he means father in law. If so, as Mariae in the
baptisms her first husband was Edward Tincknell and her last child with him
was baptised 1648- does anyone have any other suggestions? Franciscus was
baptised 1644 so he wasn't very old when he died.
Stan do you have a Christopher and/or Thomas Mapstone on your tree - they
got 4 shillings a piece.
Priscilla Rossiter was bequeathed 10 shillings. Anyone have anything on her?
Thoughts, observations and suggestions most welcome.
