Hi,

According to the General Radio website
http://www.ietlabs.com/pdf/history.pdf James K. CLAPP was actually the
foster son of J Emory CLAPP (who also worked for General Radio), so I'm not
sure if that throws a spanner in the works?  I also tried to find out more
about J Emory CLAPP, and wonder if he may have been the following (from the
IGI):

JOSEPH EMORY CLAPP
Birth: 02 MAY 1869  Geneseo, Henry, Illinois
Father: JOSEPH CLAPP
Mother: ELMINA JANE JACKSON

Alas, I don't know of a Wedmore connection, though there may well have been
one at an earlier date.
