There  is no extra information in the registers before the introduction of=20
Civil  Registration in July 1837. After that date you have the Fathers name=20=
and=20
his  rank or profession, the mother is not mentioned..
The details contained on a  marriage certificate include:=20
Date and place of marriage.=20
Name, age and  marital status of man and woman.=20
Occupation and usual address.=20
Name and  occupation of each party's father.=20
Names of the witnesses.=20
Name of the  person who solemnised the marriage.=20


The marriage of Henry Stride and  Elizabeth Bartlett was registered in=20
Axbridge in the March =BC of 1859, GRO Ref.  5c 957. You can get a copy of t=
