Hi Lyn
I have a database of many Axbridge Workhouse inmates which includes all =
the censuses, births and deaths in the workhouse, Admissions & =
Discharge, etc etc. If anyone has lost someone who might be in =
Axbridge Workhouse (from 1838 - 1910, there are gaps where records have =
not survived or I haven't looked at them yet) I'd be happy to look up =
them up for you.
For example - taking your list
Maria ANDREWS unm 45
Maria was in the Workhouse in 1851, 1861 & 1871 "an idiot", she died in =
1875.
William URAH? 14
I read this as William URCH and he was also in the Workhouse in 1851 =
(Birthplace then given as Mark) - he was advertised as being "Ready for =
Service" in 1859 but presumably there were no takers as he was still =
there in 1861
William HARDING 11
No other information
William TINCKNELL 12
I read it as William TINKNELL=20
He was also advertised as "Ready for Service" in 1859, no other =
information
Happy to look up my database of Axbridge Inmates.
Pat
