Hello Robyn,
Peter YEO married Mary Ann IRISH in St Augustine's Church, Bristol on =
the 3rd June 1827. They were married by banns and both said they were =
"of this parish"=20
Many couples went to Bristol to get married and in order to do that they =
had to live in the parish for about 3 weeks - hence "of this parish"
I see that in 1841 they are living in Bristol in Redcliff Hill, in the =
parish of St Mary Redcliff and that they have 4 daughters. Peter YEO =
was a tailor.
When did they go to Australia?
In 1841 there is a family called IRISH in Cheddar - the husband William =
was born in Cheddar in about 1791 and could be Mary Ann's brother. (As =
Mary was born in about 1808 it is less likely that he was her father)
I think you will find that the Bishop's Transcripts have been filmed by =
the LDS so you might be able to order them at your nearest centre.
The original records are with Somerset Record Office in Taunton.
Cheers
Pat

Hello from Australia!
I have had it suggested to me that this might be the list that would =
hel me chip away, if not tumble, my brick wall. Here's hoping....
I don't have much information to go on...
This information is taken from the death certificate of my gr gr gr =
Grandmother:
Mary Ann IRISH was born circa 1808 in Cheddar. She married Peter YEO, =
who was born in Tavistock, in Bristol circa 1827.
Try as I might I have not yet found out anything about the IRISH =
connection.=20
With hope someone might have her, or the IRISH family, in their =
sights!
Cheers
Robyn
