[WED]New Happenings On The Wedmore Web Site

Hello.

Obviously I've not been staying on top of the Wedmore web site, and I'm =
beginning to feel embarrassed about it.

I've started working on revamping the web site.  I will put it into a =
state that allows it to not look outdated when it goes untouched for a =
while.  I will also be adding a couple of little nuggets that have come =
to us over the past few years.  This will likely take me a number of =
months to complete.

I am also considering closing the mailing list in favour of an online =
forum.  I think this is more useful for everyone and allows the public =
to gain information without having to register.  Also, the mailing list =
is a bit of work to manage and seems intrusive and a bit antiquated.

I'd like to request those of you who still have an interest in Wedmore =
or genealogy to sign up to the forum and help me test it out.

I don't have to wait until I have revamped the entire web site... I can =
make the forum public at any point, but I do want to have a few people =
test drive it, provide input and tell me of any topic headings I should =
add or change.

I will be working on the appearance as I get familiar with the software, =
so you should see changes to the way it looks over the coming weeks.

I think I may also go through all the posts on the mailing list and post =
some topics that went unanswered or resulted in some good sharing of =
information.
