Hi John,
The Skaneateles Historical Society has transcribed the tombstones from
1796-1988. The website address is:
www.skaneateles.com/historical/index.shtml
I notice that on a number of the notations state the birth place as England.
The historical society also has an index to marriages and deaths from
some of the early Skaneateles newspapers on the website.
Just a few of the names I recall from the cemetery visit: Badman, Dando,
Isgar, Coombes, Mapstone, Pimm, Sweet, Church(es), and Millard, in addition
to my Lader/Leader/Phippen ancestors.
I hope this helps some of you.
