>From the letters of Ann Sprake Andrews to her sister in law, Ann Andrews =
Dyer, the following Burnetts are mentioned. The Meare records furnished =
the dates which matched the narrative of the Ann Andrews letters:
James Burnett, m. Mary Giblett, both of Meare, 11 apr 1826, witn. Samuel =
and Jane Giblett
Mary (Giblett?) Burnett died 10 may 1875

children, bur. 18 dec 18778 Meare
George Burnett on a farm in Meare c. 1840
Anne Giblett Burnett, daughter of James of Meare, farmer, m. 18 apr =
1865, Edward Hayes 25 farmer of Meare (They went to Iowa, to Dyersville)

John Giblett Burnett 29, m. 19 mar 1868 Sarah Anne Kean 22, daughter of =
Robert Kean

Am I right in thinking that James who married Mary Giblett may be the =
son of George and Grace Nickliss born in Yatton 1800? If you send me =
your snail mail address, I could send you copies of these letters which =
mention the Burnetts.

Dear Tim, I dont believe that James Dyer, grandfather of James the =
founder of Dyersville was the man who married Nancy Russell in Wedmore =
in 1789.

James Dyer Sr's first wife was Mary Sperrin 1750-1794; his second =
wife was Grace Burnett, widow of George Burnett, whom he married in =
1808. She died in 1818 in Yatton, he died in 1821 in Banwell.

Were the migrant James Dyers related to James Dyer who =
married Nancy Russell in Wedmore on 28 Sept 1789? The earlier James =
received an award in the Enclosure Act in association with Thomas Look.
