Dear Katherine,

Bay Tree Farm is in what I call Old Cocklake; the part of Cocklake to the
east of the Cheddar Road. From the Cheddar road you go down the Dungeon, at
the bottom of the hill, on the right, is Dungeon farm where your Pople
relatives lived for many years. On the left is the plot where Michael Tutton
’s ancestors lived. Just past New Road on the left is Moorend Farm that was
built by old Hannah Pople, for one of her sons, on part of the Bay Tree farm
orchard. So the next house on the left is Bay tree Farm.

Ann thinks that the John Porter who was at Catcot in 1845 was probably the
same person that died in 1895 in Plud street (that’s where Kelson’s farm is)
at the age of 81 (I think) (Wedmore P R).
