A John Lancastle of Mark was married in Wedmore in 1794 to Hannah =
Reeve of Wedmore - probably they lived in Mark where any children would =
most likely have been baptised.=20

Hello List,=20
This is my first posting. Can anyone help with the following please ? =
The LANCASTLE surname and other derivations come up in Wedmore =
searches.=20
I am interested in a John LANDCASTLE born around 1800. His son =
William was born in 1821 in St.James Bristol (I don't have William's =
b.c). No other information on this gentleman other than he is listed on =
son William's marriage certificate 12th May 1845 in Bristol and John's =
occupation is shown as either Farmer or Farrier - the copy isn't good =
enough to determine - if anyone has better eyesight I can e-mail a =
copy. John isn't listed on the Bristol census for 1851.=20
I am also looking for information about John LANDCASTLE [Occupation =
Merchant seaman] married Mary HALLIDAY daughter Mary born 14 April 1855 =
at 5 Charles's [or Charler's] Street, Parish of St Paul,Bristol. =20
John is possibly brother to William and older.=20
John LANDCASTLE was my ggggg-grandfather and it would be wonderful to =
see if we can find out some more information. =20
The 'd' in LANDCASTLE disappeared in 1875 on my great-grandfather's =
George LANCASTLE's birth certificate and since then we've been =
LANCASTLE.=20
Any help would be greatly appreciated or if you point me in some other =
direction as I've run out of ideas. Thanks very much.=20
