Hi Tim, this is the URL, and I have no problem accessing it
http://alpha4.iso.port.ac.uk:8001/geog/owa/gbd_gazx.find_place
And this is the URL for Wedmore, I've tested it by copying and pasting and it
works.
http://alpha4.iso.port.ac.uk:8001/geog/owa/GBD_GAZX.frameset?menu=GBD_GAZX.pla
ce&main=gbd_content.findx&ptype=civ_par&cnty=SOMERSETSHIRE&dist=AXBRIDGE&
place=WEDMORE
If you still cannot access it I could try and download the data and send as
an attachment. I can't remember now how I found the site. I have just tried
GOOGLE searching for 'The Gt.Britain Historical Database On-Line' and it came
up OK.
Good luck Stan
