Have been following the current topic with Sue's questions with
interest. There are so many experts on this List and I have a couple of
questions regarding research on CURRY/MILLARD families if anyone can
help.

Lyn Nunn sent me information from the 1851 census for CURRY and there
were many from around Taunton, but I am wondering if anyone has seen
this name closer to Wedmore? I have an ancestor, Mary Ann Roper
(daughter of Hugh and Jane Davis Roper of Crickham) who married Richard
Hole 26 May 1838 at St Mary's in Wedmore. I don't know what happened to
Richard, but at some later time Mary Ann married a Curry, first name
unknown. She had a daughter, Lucy Curry born in Wisconsin in 1851.
Other family members, including her sisters Betsey Tincknell & Jane
Evans, were in Burlington, Wisconsin by the 1850 census. The daughter,
Lucy Curry, married Charles H. MILLARD. In an 1885 Iowa census for
Delaware County, Iowa, they are living near the Evans and adjacent to
James Millard, 49 & wife Catherine 47 both born in Eng and Edward
Millard, 55 & wife Erma 50 both also born in Eng. Am wondering if these
Millards, Edward b abt 1835, James b abt 1841 & Charles b 12 May 1845
might be brothers and might be from Wedmore or near. Has anyone run
across them in their research?
Would appreciate any information anyone could share.
Thanks,
Sandi McGinnis
