Hi Robert

It seems your George Tutton snr was actually baptised in January 1790, and
was the son of George Tutton of Cocklake and Mary Beale. However there was
an older George Tutton of Cocklake who married Jane Starr. The 1791 Poor
Rate book (listed by Cuthbert Rose in his book) shows a George Tutton of
Cocklake who was assessed on 78 acres and a George Tutton of
Westbury-sub-Mendip who was assessed on land in Wedmore of 153 acres. But I
am sure Michael Tutton will have more and more accurate info!
