>From WEDMORE comes a big "Thank You" to all
who voted to support our submission to the ETW awards.

Those living overseas may wonder why we asked you to
vote in a European Union project.

No matter where you dwell you may claim to be 'Wedmorians'
for somewhere in your family line are genes or names springing
from this corner of Somerset.

Wedmore is a part of a world wide Information Technology network.
A part of the Global Village.

"IT for the Terrified" as operated here in Wedmore,
by unpaid volunteers giving two hour sessions of IT instruction
to those taking their first steps on a computer, is almost unique.

The concept is being broadened to include sessions held in
the nearby villages and schools of Axbridge, Mark, Shipham
Lympsham, Brent Knoll.
Your ancestors may well have come from these parishes.

When local people are introduced the Internet the
more Family Histories of this area will be enriched.
We have already seen how the open conversations
on list have provided details of family life in the past.

Thanks for your support.

P.S. One of our most active list members visited us last
month. Lyn Nunn from Brisbane took a few days
delving into the TINCKNELL family associations
Great to meet you Lyn....Kindest Regards.... georgesteer@onetel.net.uk
