Yes George Browns first wife Mary Ann Comer was the daughter of =
Thomas and Elizabeth Comer and the sister of John Green Comer. She was =
born about 1856 and had four children with George Brown before dying =
young about 1880.
I have nothing on the Nancy Comer you mention.

Hi John,
Thomas Comer and his wife Elizabeth Green appear to have moved to =
Chapel Allerton soon after their marriage where they had at least three =
children namely John Green Comer , George Green Comer and Elizabeth =
Comer. Returning to Wedmore , in particular Panborough in the late =
1840's they can be found in 1851 Wedmore where he is described as a =
farmer of 50 acres age 32. Their daughter Eleanor Maria was probably =
born here. The 1881 Census has this family at Blackford. During the 50's =
they had at least another three children , William Comer , Mary Ann =
Comer and Edward Comer.
John Comer the father of Thomas is farming at Chapel Allerton in =
1851.
William Brown the first son of my great grandfather George Brown =
and his first wife Mary Ann Comer can be found passing through Ellis =
Island in early 1900 where on the ships manifest he states his =
destination as ' Uncle John Comer , Farley , Iowa '. Incidentally he had =
spent the previous three years at Skeaneateles , N.Y with Warr relatives =
before going back to Somerset for a vacation.
My guess is that because this John Green Comer family was so =
large . . . children of two marriages . . the first apparently to Mary =
Ann Wall . . . the second to Amelia Elizabeth Pitman he was directed to =
the home of John Green Comers brother William. This William married =
someone named Isabella and followed his brother John to Iowa in 1883. =
John had emigrated about 1875. William Comer and family together with =
his newly arrived nephew William Brown can be found in the 1900 Census =
enumerated on 21 Jun at Taylor Township , Dubuque County , Iowa. This =
William Brown corresponded on a regular basis with my grandmother well =
into the 1940's and also wrote to my uncle during WW2 when he was a =
P.O.W. in Germany.
By the way I was mistaken in regard to the wife of Henry Tabor =
Teek. I was working from memory . . he married=20
Elizabeth ( Betsey ) Cock the daughter of John Cock and Pheobe Wall.
