Stephen
I don't have any information on the surname "Comer", however, I do have =
Information that I received from my family which states George Green =
married Hester Hatch. They had 7 children, one of who was William, who =
married Mary Ham on October 7, 1840. William and Mary had 3 sons, one of =
whom was George who married Elizabeth Duckett.
Does the above agree with your records as well?
Thank you
Nancy Green

Subject: [WED]Ducketts and Browns Revisited
Hi Nancy Green ,=20
Just wanted to thank you for your post and to make a few =
additional observations. First off I do not have a baptismal date for =
Edwin Duckett. Secondly I am not 100 % certain that he is the son of =
William and Ann Duckett as I may of implied.
The problem is this. Ann Browns sister Elizabeth baptised 1 Dec =
1767 also married a Duckett , namely
George Duckett who was baptised 23 Mar 1768. They had only one known =
child William before she died at Wells. See the Wedmore entry for 11 Sep =
1793. Now this son William baptised 7 Mar 1792 at Wedmore married =
Frances Stott and was raising a family first at Wells and then at Wookey =
about the same time as William and Ann Duckett !
I am aware of only three of their children but I am positive =
that there are more. The point is that Edwin could of been one of =
theirs. I just wanted to make you aware of this possibility although I =
consider it to be slight. I think it unlikely that Edwin would reach =
back to his long dead grandmothers maiden name to name his son. However =
it is a possibility to be aware of until information from the Wookey =
registers is known.
By all means let me have any further information on the Edwin =
Duckett family if you wish. By the way I do have a Mary Ann Comer in my =
tree daughter of Thomas Comer and Elizabeth Green. Is she related to the =
George Green you mentioned?
Yours ,=20
