[WED]AMESBURYs and website

Hi all

Firstly, I am sorry people seem to be having difficulty accessing my
homepage. I don't know why this is happening as I can open it from home and
from work without any problems. Does anyone with more knowledge of these
things than I suggest anything? I did wonder if it is to do with the browser
being used, e.g. an earlier version of Internet Explorer or Netscape.

Thanks also to Noelene for the enquiry about the AMESBURYs. I'm afraid I
don't have any more information on Robert born 1774, this is a 'hanging'
line in my database. The only information I can add is that I have Praxey as
being buried at Wedmore 15th May 1827 and Robert marrying for a third time,
to Jane MORGAN, on 4th October 1828 in Wedmore.

I am afraid it 'feels' to me as though Robert's baptism has not been
recorded. I have come across this in my own research, particularly at the
time they were being taxed, but I think this was later than the 1770s. Maybe
other sources would help, such as overseers accounts or such like.

You certainly have my sympathies with losing all your data like that, my
main Durtnall database has only around 5000 individuals on it and I would be
devastated if I lost it (I do backup from time to time!).
