[WED]Wedmore WARDS in New Zealand

To all Wedmorerians

I don't think there was a specific Wedmore Settlement in Iowa. I suspect two
or three families went over and then reported back on the opportunities.
Others followed, perhaps meeting up, and then doing their own thing, usually
farming. I don't doubt many keep in contact for a generation or two as we do
nowadays and then contact was lost until family historians came around en
masse!
