[WED]James Dyer of Dyerville

Hi Bernice,
We had family who came from Wedmore, Sommerset, England to the Dyersville
area in 1853 but I don't know of any direct relationship with the Dyer
family.  Part of my ancestors had originally settled in Burlington, Racine
Co, WI in 1848-49 and then went on to Dyersville.  There were others in
Burlington from that area in Eng.  There was a Dr Dyer in Burlington and
folks at the historical society think that perhaps that is how they knew
about Dyersville.  I do have information about Dyersville if you are
interested, and I know there are others on the Wedmore list who have
information also.
