Greetings to all,

I have been reading the letters this week-end with interest. I must =
agree that it is great to have some websites listed that we might not =
find otherwise.

And I am always interested in see a note from Mary Thacher because my =
roots go from Wedmore to Dyersville, IA also. Many of you have =
responded to my inquiries in the past and for that I am grateful! =20

Wonder if anyone knows of a website which lists William Parker =
descendants? My great-great grandfather, Joseph Parker b. 29 March 1820 =
in Wedmore listed his father as William Parker. I have found 2 William =
Parkers who might be this father:
William Parker b. 1788 to William & Ann Parker OR
William Parker b. 1795 son of James & Savannah Parker.
I have never been able to find a baptismal record for my Joseph and a =
Canadian census in 1851 indicated "no religion" so perhaps he was not =
raised church of England. I did find a William Parker b. abt 1816 m. to =
Ann Millard 14 May 1840 who listed his father as William Parker also who =
might be a brother. No proof of that, however.

Joseph Parker married Anne Radford 31 May 1848 in Tornonto, Canada, a =
year after he emmigrated . Their marriage license listed Anne's father =
as "the late John Radford of Somerset." They have a child, Sarah A. =
Parker, age 8 on the 1851 census who is with the family in Iowa on the =
1860 census, age 16. Sarah was born in England according to all census =
records and may be a child of an earlier marriage of Joseph's. Anne =
Radford Parker died in 1862 in Dyersville and Joseph married Betsey =
Roper Tincknell in 1863. Betsey was the daughter of Hugh Roper of =
Wedmore and married first to George Tincknell in Wedmore.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Wedmore lines: Roper, Tincknell, Parker, with connections to Millard, =
Curry, Radford, Evans.
Sandi McGinnis
